Summer Shorts: Now Here's A Stimulus Package

By Craig Altschul
June 15, 2009

Just when you thought nothing could top a dip for two in a heart-shaped Pocono bathtub, Innsbruck comes along and betters it four ways over. Alicia Gough, OnTheSnow.com's Executive Editor/Europe, lets out the secrets of the four-star Romantik Hotel Schwarzer Adler, writing for MountainGetaway.com, our newly spiffed up summer Web site.

The hotel's Romantic Break For Connoisseurs Package includes a buffet breakfast; romantic dinner with a selection of Austrian wines (you expected Napa Valley?); and a 48-hour Innsbruck Card giving free use of public transport, free entry to museums, and a cable car trip. The Swarovski Crystal Experience Package expands that package with a visit to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. There is a supplemental charge of €194 per person (approximately $272), says Alicia, should you and your honey wish to stay in a crystal dream suite. Both packages are for two nights.

Only have one night? The rather bluntly named Romantic Seduction Package means breakfast and champagne in your and a (sigh) candlelit dinner in the hotel restaurant or roof terrace. Yes, the honeymoon suite is an upgrade. The one-night Wellbeing Crystal Spheres Package gives you all of above plus a massage.

What it means: We're not sure.
