Loaner Apparel: "Concierge, Bring Me A Men's 44 Long"

No pants? No problem. Teton Mountain Lodge's "Gear Closet" was so successful last summer that the luxury hotel and condominium property is stocking up on jackets, pants, gloves and goggles that will be available without charge to guests this winter.

The three-year-old lodge, located in Teton Village near Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, has partnered with three local companies - Cloudveil, Indigo Equipment and Brunton, as well as Ryders Eyewear to offer such things as waterproof ski pants to any guest who needs such items.

"We've all forgotten some piece of critical gear on a ski trip," said managing partner Rob DesLauriers.

Various shops and specialty suppliers in resort towns offer head-to-toe items for rent to visitors who may decide to head for the slopes but lack the requisite sportswear. Operating through a local ski shop, Vail Ski Clothing Rentals, for example, charges about $85 for a three-day apparel rental.
