Some of the bookings will fall through, to be sure, but most will not." He cites two questions that could challenge this rosy picture: Are resorts themselves indicating that reservation are up? And will Hurricanes Katrina and Rita slow bookings for Mardi Gras week (in 2006 it falls on Tues, Feb. 28), when skiers and riders come from New Orleans and elsewhere to celebrate in the mountains?
