We were with a delegation of ski industry experts trying to assist the Chinese government in development of modern skiing facilities. "When we visited, we were taken to two developed ski facilities, one near Harbin (Qing Yun) and one near Jilin (Songhua). Both ski areas, though primitive by our standards, were operating resorts with lifts, ski rentals, and lodging facilities.
